The announcement:

Urban List Achieves 41% Audience Growth YOY Delivering 3 Million Unique Visitors in January

Lifestyle publisher, Urban List, has established itself as Australia and New Zealand’s largest independent media company, reporting an audience of more than 3 million unique visitors in January 2020 — a 41% increase year-on-year*.

Managing Editor, Tessa Gallagher, says the 8 year old media company has undergone a significant transition over the past 12 months, including a revitalised content strategy designed “to ensure the brand is more meaningful to more aspects of our audience’s lives — connecting with our audience about their identities, ambitions and passions, in addition to their cities”.

“We’ve always taken pride in bringing our audience the most socially and culturally relevant content, and view UVs as an objective, real-time marker of the credibility our brand and content holds. 41% growth, year-on-year, proves Urban List’s credibility across all of our new verticals — our strategy has delivered significant increases in loyalty and scale — and I’m incredibly proud of what our dream team has achieved!”

Urban List was launched as a city guide in 2011, before extending into Urban Travel in 2017 and Urban Life in 2019 — the latter covering topics such as Health, Beauty, Style, Entertainment, Career and Finance.

According to the company, one in three of the site’s visitors are to the Travel and Lifestyle sections of the site.

Urban List has plans to further extend their platform with the launch of events series, Getting The Gig Live, this week and further market and vertical launches planned for 2020.
