Utes turn into confessionals for tradies in CarsGuide campaign by Red Engine SCC
Australian automotive media brand, Carsguide, has unveiled a new campaign which celebrates how cars can be used as mobile confessionals by everyday Australian tradies.
The social content series, by Red Engine SCC features nine video spots as part of the first phase of the campaign, led by Aussie comedian Luke Heggie, who interviews each tradesman about their on-the-job experiences.
The online campaign aims to convey the importance of utes in everyday life, in a playful and comical way.
These are surprisingly good – normally hate when ads ‘ go tradie’ (see the Libs), but these are genuinely funny. Radio story is classic.
Carsguide are just so much more interesting that carsales in everything they do. Their marketing team are really kicking goals…
Carsguide still trying to make themselves relevant. How much money will they continue to waste trying to compete. Maybe they should look at getting a local, who understands local consumers to head the venture up.
