Sonya Pemberton has donated the prize money from the Thornett Award to the Bhutan Royal Princess Fund for cancer patients in memory of Dorji Om who featured in the documentary.

“Dorji Om died of cervical cancer shortly after filming with Jabbed, leaving behind three young children. I feel indebted to her, and to the others whose stories of vaccine related disease – and vaccine fears – propelled the film. It is a genuine honour to be able to share their stories with the world and to have the film recognised for making a contribution”. Sonya Pemberton

In 2011 acclaimed science specialist Pemberton Films joined forces with one of Australia’s leading production houses, Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder Productions (CJZ), to create a new joint venture, Genepool Productions. Genepool specialises in creating outstanding science programming for Australian and international television audiences.

Jabbed was originally produced for SBS Australia with Screen Australia.
