Filov had been with the network for ten years, coming to it from Initiative where she worked as senior group head out of The Brand Agency offices, heading up the Bankwest and Sunday Times media accounts.
She had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia three weeks ago, but suffered complications from her treatment and passed away on Wednesday evening. In a note to colleagues Nine’s Perth sales director Kate McMahon wrote: “It is with the heaviest heart that I have to share with you all that our angel Hels passed away peacefully last night at 5.25pm in the surrounds of her loving family.
“Hels was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia only 3 weeks ago, and whilst it all moved very quickly, Hels maintained her positivity, great humour and selflessness throughout the entire process.
“Hels truly was an angel placed on this earth, and we were all so lucky to have her in our lives. We are all blessed to work in such a close and loving industry, and Hels would want us all to band together and look after one another through this tough time.”
So so so sad … a beautiful lady .. both inner and outer beauty … my heart goes out to her family .. god bless Helen and rest in peace ..
