Victoria Bitter celebrate NSW State of Origin sponsorship
Victoria Bitter is giving fans the chance to have their name placed on the brand’s logo on the front of the NSW Blues jersey during this sear’s Sate of Origin series.
Created by Clemenger BBDO and ApolloNation, the Name in the Game campaign focuses on VB’s sponsorship relationship with the NSW State of Origin team.
At all three of the matches this year, the brand will replace the words ‘Victoria Bitter’ on the front of the NSW player’s shirts with the names of 46 Blues fans from across the state. Fans can enter by purchasing specially marked packs of VB and entering the promotional code online.
Victoria Bitter general manager Richard Oppy said: “This is huge. In 160 years, we have never changed the wording on the Victoria Bitter logo. As the major sponsor of the NSW Blues we wanted to throw everything behind them and for the first time, we’re enabling fans to actually be in the game, adding even more fire to the supporter base of the Blues.”
Running until July 1, the campaign runs across TV, radio, digital and point-of-sale.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne executive creative director, Ant Keogh said: “Victoria Bitter has a fantastic relationship with the Blues, and through this promotion has shown that it is committed to getting fans involved and standing behind their team.
