Vizeum managing director Travis Day resigns, with Stephen Deane to replace him
Travis Day has resigned from his post as managing director of Dentsu Aegis Network’s Vizeum.
Stephen Deane, who has been general manager of the Sydney operation since 2016, has been promoted to replace Day.
Day joined Vizeum in 2012 and was promoted to national MD in 2015. He departs the business in mid July.
Simon Ryan, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network, said Deane was the natural choice to replace Day.
“I look forward to seeing how Vizeum continues to evolve and thrive under Stephen’s direction, delivering exceptional results that accelerate growth for our clients,” he said.
“Travis led Vizeum Australia for a significant period, and has been instrumental to its growth during that time. We thank Travis for his commitment to the business and wish him all the best.”
Deane added: “I’m thrilled to be taking my next step within Dentsu Aegis Network, and couldn’t be more honoured to be doing so at Vizeum. I’m proud to lead a team which dares to think differently, brings a fresh perspective to any situation, and continues to push boundaries to deliver the very best business outcomes for our clients.”
Vizeum also announced Danielle Gowling, a founding member of Vizeunm – has been promoted to general manager of the Melbourne operation, effective immediately.
In the past 12 months, Vizeum has lost some key accounts including Pernod Ricard and World Vision, but in turn it has retained BMW and picked up Macquarie University.
Congrats Stephen, really pleased for you.
