Volkswagen Australia launches travel blog to promote the people behind the car

Volkswagen Australia has created a travel blog to help people understand what it is really like to own a Volkswagen.

The travel blog includes stories of different models which have been taken on adventures, written by Australian travel bloggers.

The content series focuses on the stories and people behind the cars and aims to use a different method to bring the vehicles “to life”.

Mountains, the beach, Mudgee, the Blue Mountains and Mountain Highs are all locations visited and chronicled in the content series.

Kurt McGuiness, public relations and brand experience manager at Volkswagen, said in a statement: “Most of us don’t dream about gridlock traffic and Saturday sport runs. Our blog serves as a postcard of sorts – highlighting the best our country has to offer, lovingly written by those in the know.

“Ultimately we’re coming from the perspective of a car being part of your life, not the purpose of your life,” he said.

The posts are hosted on Volkswagen’s new website and will be spread across digital and social media.
