Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles recruit Rosso for brand campaign promoting the Amarok

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia has launched a new brand campaign which features stories of owners of the brand’s Amarok utility vehicle.

The campaign features Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross who travels around Australia to meet and interview four owners of the utility vehicle and introduces the vehicle’s tagline “I think therefore I Amarok”.

Developed by independent creative agency Hubink the campaign will run for three months across digital and print, with the video and microsite set to remain live for 12 months.

The first video features Duncan McIntyre from aerial advertising company Branding by Air. He was selected for the campaign after VWCV marketing manager Ben Wilks spotted his Amarok in Sydney.

Further executions feature owners sourced through nominations from the Volkswagen dealer network.

The campaign runs online through YouTube, Fairfax, NineMSN and News.com.au along with some print ads and dealership point of sale.
