Digital design and VX agency Versa celebrates official Australian launch, with US and Singapore offices to come

Digital design and voice experience (VX) agency Versa officially launched in Australia today.

Versa was launched by Melbourne indie digital agency Deepend in 2017, but merged with the VX agency to operate as a new entity under the single Versa brand. The agency says the offering is “first to market” in its category.

“This is an extremely exciting new venture and one that establishes Versa as an expanded yet truly independent agency sitting at the forefront of where marketing and technology meet,” Kath Blackham, founder and CEO of Versa, said of the official launch.

“We are experts in building robust, future-proofed and large-scale digital platforms for clients that take full advantage of the possibilities offered by AI, augmented reality and voice technology.”

The Versa team is made up of more than 50 creatives, strategists and technological specialists. In a statement to Mumbrella, it said it was this team that positions Versa to capitalise on the popularity of devices such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa, and take advantage of research that predicts that 30% of all web browsing sessions will be performed without a screen by next year.

“We’re new and improved. The Versa culture is exceptionally special and I’d go so far to say as unrivalled – it’s about passion, innovation and expertise. Essentially, we’re about connecting with customers in more meaningful ways to make businesses more successful,” said recently-appointed managing director, Jonny Clow, who was previously client services director at VMLY&R.

Versa also recently added technical director Guill Rodas to its management team, who joined after 10 years at Isobar.

The agency said it has an “aggressive expansion plan in place”, with Singapore and US offices also in the pipeline, and has a portfolio of clients that includes Nova, Domino’s, Beyond Blue, Dairy Australia, Village Cinemas, NIB, and Red Cross.
