Wavemaker appoints Victoria Brennan as head of technology platforms

WPP AUNZ owned media agency Wavemaker Australia has promoted Victoria Brennan to the newly created role of head of technology platforms.

A GroupM stalwart, Brennan joined the group in 2011 as a digital assistant with Mediacom Manchester before moving to Mediacom Australia as a digital manager two years later.

Brennan joined Wavemaker in 2018 from GroupM sister agency, Maxus

She has also served with GroupM sister agencies Essence and Maxus, having worked on accounts including Volkswagen, Audi, HP, Nestlé, Vodafone, Hungry Jack’s and Jetstar.

Brennan’s role will see her in charge managing Wavemaker’s digital products and ensuring consistent service to the agency’s clients nationally.

The position covers all media vendor platforms and data platforms, including Google, YouTube, Facebook and Adobe, including working with programmatic and DSPs.

Previously GroupM had been working on centralising its agencies’ digital offerings under a centralised model led by then director of technical operations, Tim Whitfield. Mumbrella has approached WPP AUNZ for comment on whether this signals a new GroupM digital structure.

Peter Vogel, CEO of Wavemaker Australia & New Zealand, said: “The aim of creating a Head of Technology Platforms role is to provide more holistic digital marketing solutions to clients to help them drive future growth.

“Victoria takes a people-first approach to her work and is dedicated to building strong relationships with clients, technology partners and colleagues alike, which makes her perfect for this role.”

Brennan added: “It’s an honour to be recognised for this important new role at Wavemaker. I’m looking forward to continuing to help our clients get the most out of their digital investment.”
