Wavemaker’s national director of technology and data Alexander Concannon departs

Wavemaker’s national director of technology, effectiveness and data, Alexander Concannon, has departed the media agency to start his own business.

Announcing his departure, Concannon said: “After two amazing years at Maxus/Wavemaker I’ve left media to start my own thing”.

Concannon said he is starting his own health technology company

Concannon told Mumbrella his new business is in its early days but he is building something in the health technology space.

While setting up his business Concannon will continue to consult to Wavemaker.

Concannon joined Maxus in 2016 from his previous role as a senior analytics and insights manager at Starcom.

In November last year GroupM merged two of its agencies, MEC and Maxus, to create Wavemaker.

Throughout his career Concannon has also had stints at Groupon, as part of the sales strategy department, and McCann where he was a planner for three years.

Wavemaker confirmed Concannon’s departure and said his replacement is due to start in a couple of months.
