We Are Social appoints Gerry Cyron as head of strategy

Gerry Cyron has joined We Are Social as head of strategy.

Cyron joins from Loud, where he spent just under five years as head of planning and innovation. Previously, Cyron was the head of brand planning at Ogilvy, and the senior strategic planner at BMF.

In his new role, Cyron will be leading the agency’s growing strategy, research and insight team.

We Are Social managing director, Suzie Shaw, said in a statement to Mumbrella: “I have known Gerry for some time and always admired his creative ambition and straight talk. He’s an intuitive planner with a lot of energy and a strong interest in culture, which is important for our business because we move fast and need to help brands connect with consumers in interesting ways. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to work with Gerry.”

Cyron told Mumbrella he joined We Are Social due to its culturally-attuned work.
