Wellness company nabs Montu’s Zoe Phillips and Kelly King

Wellness tech company Bon Charge has made several senior appointments including chief marketing officer and director of PR, after raiding the leadership team of Australian medical cannabis company Montu.

Montu’s head of brand, Zoe Phillips, who is also formerly head of creative at Rebel Sport, and director of comms and PR, Kelly King, will join the company next month as the new CMO and director of PR, respectively.

The appointments have been made to accelerate Bon Charge’s global growth, as they bring a wealth of experience across enterprise leadership, marketing, regulatory affairs, and public relations to the table.

The company describes itself as a global leader in “complete, at-home” products, designed to enhance and aid sleep, recovery, wellness, and beauty. It was founded in 2017 in Perth by Andy and Katie Mant, and has grown its product range and geography, reaching “hundreds of thousands” of customers worldwide.

As its new CMO, Phillips will be responsible for elevating Bon Charge’s brand presence worldwide, while King’s expertise in modern PR strategies will boost presence across Australia, the UK, the US, and the UAE.

Phillips told Mumbrella she’s excited to join Bon Charge at “such a key stage of growth”.

She said: “I look forward to championing the vision to build a world-class marketing team and strengthen our presence internationally while deepening connections here in Australia. There’s real alignment working alongside Andy and Katie who share values and genuine commitment to innovation, education, community, and customer experience.

“I’m particularly passionate about refining our content strategy to simplify wellness and help customers better understand how our products can meaningfully impact wellbeing, energy, and confidence,” Phillips told Mumbrella. “We have the opportunity to become not just a brand, but a trusted destination for knowledge, support, and connection. It’s a privilege to help shape this next chapter for such an inspiring brand.”

King described the executive leadership team as “talented, high-calibre, and diverse”, and said she’s proud to join “such a forward-thinking organisation”.

“Their deep commitment to customer and community impact is truly inspiring,” King told Mumbrella.

“I am particularly looking forward to channelling that commitment in amplifying the voices of our customers, in engaging with the community, fostering meaningful connections, and strengthening the understanding and credibility of all that we offer.

“It is a wonderful privilege to be passionate about the work you do, and stepping into a space where technology underpins wellbeing — alongside world-class leadership — is both inspiring and exciting.”

Also joining Bon Charge is Adidas Switzerland’s Tim Bailly, as its new chief operating officer, and Estée
Lauder APAC’s Dr Andrew Harris, as the new chief technical officer.

“We are thrilled to welcome this outstanding group of high-calibre professionals to Bon Charge,”  Andy Mant, CEO and co-founder of the company, said in a media release.

“Their combined expertise will be instrumental in driving our global strategy, enhancing our operational efficiency, and strengthening our brand’s position in the industry.

“Most importantly, they will focus on the positive impact and outcomes for our hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide – and cement our position as a global leader in the wellness technology space,” he said.

The new leadership team will be based in Bon Charge’s new Sydney headquarters, which opens on April 1.
