Wendell Sailor, Luke Hodge and Damien Fleming have a fling with football in Hyundai’s FIFA World Cup campaign

As a sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, Hyundai has created a television campaign which features rugby star Wendell Sailor, cricket player Damien Fleming and AFL sportsman Luke Hodge crashing a children’s soccer match.

The ‘Have a Fling with Football’ campaign plays on the competition soccer faces against other popular Australian sports including cricket, AFL and rugby – and the bandwagon jumping which occurs during World Cup season.

Created by Octagon and produced by Milkmoney, Have a Fling with Football will run across TV, including a broadcast partnership with SBS. There will also be a competition to win a Hyundai car.

Oliver Mann, marketing director at Hyundai Motor Company Australia, said in a statement: “As the naming rights partner for the Hyundai A-League since its inception in 2005, we also support everything from grassroots football to the National Teams and the FIFA World Cup.

“This World Cup, Hyundai is inviting all Australians have a fling with football and get swept up in World Cup fever.”
