World Cup partner Kia launches push with ARN
Kia Motors, a FIFA World Cup partner, has teamed up with Australian Radio Network to send five people to South Africa to report on the football tournament.
The five “real world reporters” were chosen following a competition on the radio network’s Mix FM breakfast shows held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
They will follow the Socceroos, reporting live into Mix FM’s breakfast shows and creating video blogs for the radio stations’ websites.
The campaign also includes full integration of ARN’s digital station Classic Hits Plus, with World Cup content, updates and themeing.
ARN listeners across both its Classic Hits and Mix FM brands will be able to subscribe to free daily SMS updates on the World Cup. Listeners will also be able to sign up for email updates that explain what’s happening at the World Cup.
In other World Cup-related activity, the Classic Hits network will be offering a KIA Cerato to an Australian Soccer Club to either keep for the club or to be used for fundraising purposes.
The five real world reporters are: Tamara Salamacha, Sydney; Rita Lazzaratto, Melbourne; Chad O’Sullivan, Adelaide; Antonija Tomic; Brisbane & Daniele D’Ulisse, Perth.
Lucky for some going to South Africa, unlucky for others.

‘And in other World Cup related activity’….giving a car away is World Cup related?

Who would have known Kia is a World Cup partner?
That’s gone totally below the radar. Do they not know how to activate a sponsorship? What a waste.
