WPP appoints chief people officer across Australia and New Zealand

Global communications group WPP has appointed Morag Eyles as its new chief people officer across both Australia and New Zealand, Mumbrella can reveal.

A spokesperson told Mumbrella: “We are delighted to confirm that Morag Eyles has been appointed chief people officer of WPP in Australia and New Zealand.”

“Morag will leverage her 28 years of global experience to ensure WPP continues to attract, retain and develop talent across the region.”

She joins from Bupa, where she is currently people director, leading recruitment and people services across both the Australian and New Zealand markets. Eyles will join WPP in mid-May.

Previously, Eyles has held the role of general manager of people services at NAB, as well as roles at ANZ Bank and Accenture.

Last year, Lisa Sheehan, who was the previous chief people officer at WPP departed the business, shortly after CEO Jens Monsees. In February, Rose Herceg was appointed WPP President in the market.

WPP’s GroupM also appointed Initiative’s Scott Laird as its new chief people officer in November.
