X Factor sees off Big Brother in overall ratings, but tables are turned among youth viewers
Seven’s X Factor beat Nine’s Big Brother with both shows going head-to-head in their series debuts on Monday night.
The X Factor, which ran from 7.30pm to 9pm, rated a metro audience of 1.633m, according to preliminary overnight ratings from ozTAM.
Big Brother, which ran from 7pm to 9pm, rated 1.309m. Last year, in part thanks to being heavily promoted during the Olympics, it debuted with 1.618m.
