XTD appoints Ooh Media’s Adam Cadwallader as CEO

Digital transit media company XTD Limited has appointed former Ooh Media group sales strategy director, Adam Cadwallader, as CEO and managing director.

Cadwallader, who has been with Ooh Media since 2012, will replace XTD’s interim CEO Jason Byrne from August 1.

Cadwallader has spent almost 20 years in the OOH industry

The decision comes after the XTD board completed a review of opportunities and made a decision that the business would best be led by an experienced out-of-home media executive.

Cadwallader has been in the industry for over 25 years, with the last 19 spent in the OOH industry.

XTD chairman Justus Wilde said the board was delighted to welcome Cadwallader as the new CEO and is looking forward to seeing him lead the business in a new strategic direction.

“The XTD Board believes Adam’s skills and experience are a perfect fit to drive the XTD business forward with clear direction and leadership,” said Wilde.

“Adam’s proven capabilities in building digital and integrated content out-of-home businesses that engage audiences and deliver on advertisers’ needs will set the XTD business on a new strategic path to deliver sustainable growth and results.”

Over the last seven years Cadwallader has been heading up Ooh Media’s place-based media business, Locate by Ooh, which has included acquisitions such as the integration of Office Media companies, Inlink and Executive Channel Network.

Cadwallader said he was thrilled to be joining XTD during a time of growth.

“I’m incredibly excited to join the XTD business and look forward to working closely with the board to develop a new strategic plan that grows the business by connecting brands with engaged audiences,” said Cadwallader.

With the new appointment, interim CEO Byrne will return to his non-executive director role and non-executive director Joe Copley will step down from the board immediately due to his interest in OOH reporting platform, Seedooh.

“On behalf of the XTD Board, I would like to extend our thanks to Jason who has undertaken a review of the business since November last year, leaving XTD in a strong position to move forward,” said Wilde.

“The Board also thanks Joe, who has been a director of XTD since 2016, for his leadership and guidance on getting the business ready for this next phase.”
