Yahoo!7 appoints Mindshare chief digital officer as head of strategy and integration



Yahoo!7 has appointed Mindshare Australia’s chief digital officer Ciarán Norris as head of strategy and integration.

Norris, who has been with Mindshare as chief digital officer for two and a half years, will report to commercial director Paul Sigaloff and will oversee advertising and commercial integration and go to market strategies to help strengthen its mobile, video and cross-platform advertising solutions.

In a statement Sigaloff said: “We’re excited to welcome Ciarán to the Yahoo7 team. He brings a great understanding of digital strategy across both local and global markets which will help us continue to deliver new opportunities for our advertisers and ensure our commercial team continues to be the best in the industry.

“Ciarán will play a key role in coordinating initiatives across our business to ensure our commercial integration, product and content value propositions are aligned as we work hard to bring together the most innovative and effective integrated solutions for advertisers.”

Prior to his chief digital officer role in Australia, Norris was head of digital for Mindshare Ireland for two years, and has also been a director of emerging media for Mindshare global. He first joined Mindshare in June 2009 as global head of social marketing.

Norris will work directly with Seven West Media’s RED Division and the Yahoo7 studio team and will be based in the Yahoo7 Sydney office.
