Sydney, Australia, 3 May 2011 – Yahoo!7 today announced the availability of rich ads for mobile for Australian advertisers. The new offering, which has been trialed by Yahoo! in the UK and US, enables advertisers to incorporate videos, galleries, maps and interactive forms into their mobile advertising campaigns.
Damon Scarr, Commercial Director at Yahoo!7, said: “We offer a comprehensive set of mobile ad products designed to empower our advertisers to tap into the rapidly expanding, audience of mobile consumers. Yahoo!7 now has over two million users each month accessing our content through mobile devices and the new rich media format encourages consumer interactivity which will achieve higher click-through rates for our advertisers and increased engagement levels.”
The introduction of rich media into Yahoo!7’s mobile advertising removes the barrier to entry faced by advertisers without an existing mobile site. Advertisers can collect all of the consumer’s details from their interaction with the ad without the need to redirect to a separate mobile site.
“We strive to make it easy and efficient for our advertisers to add mobile to their digital marketing plans, and our mobile solutions are built off the tried, tested and trusted platforms that drive Yahoo!7’s online display and search advertising solutions,” Damon said.
