Yahoo7 launches site to house entertainment content

Yahoo7 is today launching a new entertainment site called The Hype, to rival Ninemsn’s The Fix.

The online media company’s existing content from Yahoo7 Movies, Yahoo7 Music, Yahoo7 TV, Plus7, Who, Famous, New Idea and its games, will now be housed within The Hype site.

It follows a similar model to the US, where Yahoo has launched OMG in June 2007.

The Hype will also have new features including a celebrity blog, a daily three minute video containing entertainment news, a weekly newsletter, competitions and promotions.
