Yahoo7 commercial director Paul Sigaloff gets title upgrade as director of product and audience Caroline Casey exits

Yahoo7 has given commercial director Paul Sigaloff a title upgrade to chief revenue officer, with Sigaloff’s new title aimed at “reflecting the evolution and broadening” of his responsibilities at Yahoo7, as director of product and audience AU/NZ Caroline Casey exits the business.

Paul Sigaloff promoted to Yahoo7 chief revenue officer

Sigaloff followed boss Ed Harrison to Yahoo7 in April 2014 after nearly three years as GM digital and national sales director at Fairfax Media. Prior to that he was the national sales director with Fairfax for two years.

It is not immediately clear how the new role differs from his previous role, however it is understood it is the first time Yahoo7 has had a chief revenue position.

Technology director Paul Russell has also been given a title upgrade, taking on the role of chief technology officer.

The new titles follows the news of Yahoo7 director of product and audience AU/NZ Caroline Casey’s decision to return to London.

Alongside the changes head of product Mark Robinson has been promoted to director of product, and head of editorial AU/NZ Simon Wheeler to director of content.

Ed Harrison, Yahoo7 CEO, said: “I am excited to work more closely with Simon and Mark in their new positions in our leadership team. It is testament to their successes in their previous roles at Yahoo7, and our excellent pool of talent that we were able to promote internally to these roles. I’d also like to extend sincere thanks to Caroline for her amazing work at Yahoo7 over the past three years and wish her the very best.”

The promotions come as Yahoo7 has been in market spruiking its strategic position for the year ahead and its goal to be the third digital player behind Facebook and Google. It also comes ahead of the completion of the acquisition of Yahoo by Verizon.
