Yahoo7’s Natalie Grabbe joins Nine as head of digital sales in Melbourne

Nine has appointed Yahoo7’s Victorian head of sales Natalie Grabbe, to lead its Melbourne digital sales team.

Nine has hired senior digital sales leader Natalie Grabbe to lead its Melbourne digital sales team.

Grabbe comes to Nine from Yahoo7 where she has been Head of Sales (Victoria) for the past two and half years.

“Over the past year we have been focused on finding the most senior digital specialists for our digital teams,” said Michael Stephenson, Chief Sales Officer.

“Natalie is a fantastic addition to our team. She has an in-depth knowledge of the Melbourne market and will help to drive our Melbourne digital sales team in key areas of focus such as video and programmatic.”

Grabbe has also held senior sales roles for Fairfax where she was Agency Group Director, and The Guardian, where she was Sales Director for their US operations.

She replaces Anjuli Plozza who has been promoted as Nine’s Head of Strategy, Melbourne, leading the 9Powered offering in Melbourne.

Grabbe’s hiring is the latest senior sales appointment for Nine’s digital operations. Over the past 12 months, Nine has sought to ramp up its senior digital sales expertise within its sales operation.

These major digital sales appointments have included former APEX boss Pippa Leary as Commercial Director – Digital Sales leading the digital sales team; Fairfax’s Nathan Powell as Director of Sales – Digital Product leading the specialist team; AOL’s Grant Bingham, Director of Sales – Programmatic, who leads Nine’s programmatic offering and the promotion of Amy Schubert – Director of Sales and Content Partnerships – 9Honey.

“Over the past 12 months, Nine has brought together a team that includes some of the best digital sales talent in the country,” said Leary. “Natalie’s appointment finalises all the key roles in the senior digital sales leadership.
