YMCA Victoria hires Reactive for digital work

YMCA Victoria has hired Reactive as the youth hostel brand looks to improve the user participation of its websites.

The announcement:

Digital agency Reactive has been appointed by YMCA Victoria (www.victoria.ymca.org.au) to implement the digital strategy and redesign for over 50 YMCA managed community websites throughout the state of Victoria. Reactive was chosen by YMCA because of its innovative multi-website integration approach all within a centralised ‘fresh faced’ platform.

YMCA Victoria is a community based charity that supports people, families and communities, largely through recreational opportunities, in settings including recreation and aquatic facilities, health clubs, student accommodation, youth justice facilities, schools and child care centres.

Following consultation with YMCA Victoria’s digital team, Reactive developed an approach to implementing the website development component of their digital strategy to enhance the user experience and encourage participation.

“We’re very proud of working on YMCA Victoria’s websites as our work will feature effective integration of social media tools to help in engaging their audience, encouraging instant participation and enabling new levels of interaction between YMCA Victoria members state wide and the multiple service providers,” said Tim O’Neill, Joint Managing Director, Reactive.

Reactive says impactful design and ease of navigation across the websites plus real-time interaction via social media tools like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will enhance the user experience.

Melanie Burns, Online Communications Manager at YMCA Victoria said: “We felt Reactive was best placed to help us build on the clear roadmap initially developed by Online Strategy consultants Chisholm & Harper for improving our online service delivery, and ensure a clear customer focus right across all of our websites.”

Reactive is a global digital agency with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and London that specialises in providing eCommerce and digital solutions primarily to clients in the travel, retail and government sectors. Current clients include NEC Australia, Origin Energy, British Airways, Harris Scarfe, HESTA, Metro Trains, Melbourne Airport, STA Travel, Bras N Things, Jeanswest and General Pants Co.
