Yoghurt Digital has won R.M. Williams’ digital account which includes its e-commerce platform and SEO account.
“Our recent wins like R.M. Williams play in highly competitive spaces. With cost per acquisitions rising, our experience shows that the key to customer retention is understanding how to discover, test and refine both the user and customer experience.
“Add to this a strategic optimisation of SEO and SEM campaigns and you’ve got a winning formula. It’s about knowing what levers to pull,” Michael Laps, co-founder of Yoghurt Digital, said in a statement.

“With clear communication between the teams at Yoghurt Digital, transitioning our digital marketing across has been extremely easy. Knowing that the team has such strong connections with Google and other vendors demonstrates that they are clear leaders in the game.”
Yoghurt Digital won the account from incumbent agency Labelium.
Yoghurt Digital’s clients include H&R Block, Forever New, Jurlique and M.J. Bale.
Special Group is currently the creative agency of record for the retailer.
Abigail,
VML is the creative agency of record winning in December or something last year.
Not sure why they wouldn’t also have the digital. Have they lost the account?

Hi ‘Correction’,
Thank you for flagging this. I will do some investigating as I know Special Group still do creative work for R.M. Williams.
R.M. Williams are also not listed as a client on VML’s website.
Leave it with me.
Thanks,
Abigail – Mumbrella.
Correction is on the money.
VML launched a campaign a few months back produced by Andreas Smetana.
A number of VML staff on LinkedIn list RM Williams as a client.

Hi ‘100%’,
I have sought further clarification and the incumbent digital agency was Labelium.
This was the last digital agency to hold the digital account for R.M. Williams.
Hope this helps.
Abigail – Mumbrella.
Isn’t VML a digital and creative? Just odd they wouldn’t have gotten it.

Hi ‘100%’,
I think your percentages are off, because this article doesn’t require any corrections.
R.M. Williams’ incumbent agency was Labelium – not VML. VML were never their digital agency of record.
VML ran one campaign for R.M. Williams, which is why VML staff have them listed as a client. But that doesn’t make them their digital agency – it means they ran a single campaign for them, which is not the same thing.

Not sure why it’s odd they wouldn’t have gotten it just because they offer digital services? They weren’t the incumbent agency in the first place.

Looks like Yoghurt Digital are primarily CRO, Paid and SEO digital vs being a digital web/creative agency?

Hi ‘Incorrect’,
Thanks for your note. After seeking clarification from R.M. Williams I can confirm that VML ran one social campaign for R.M. Williams. VML also pitched for the CRM account but lost to Clemenger.
Hope this helps.

Moral of the story, digital agency wins news business. Pedants unleash war of words to prove a moot point about incumbents. Who cares.
