Zenith names Kim Xavier as head of insights

Kim Xavier is Zenith’s new head of insights, effective immediately and replacing Tim Beveridge, who was in the broader role of chief strategy, data and insights officer for four and a half years before becoming general manager at SBDS Group.

Xavier will have the focused responsibility of insights, with strategy directors and digital and data directors, who did report to Beveridge, reporting directly into the GM of each Zenith office.

Xavier returned to Australia earlier this year after a three-year stint in the US, where she was senior director of shopper insights for Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of chains such as Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarket. Previously, Xavier has also served as head of shopper insights for Coles, and in a similar role at Cadbury.

Xavier begins in the new role immediately

“Kim is a highly experienced insights professional focussed on providing a holistic view of the customer and will play a pivotal role in informing strategic business decisions and unlocking key growth opportunities for our clients,” Zenith CEO Nickie Scriven said.

“We’re very fortunate to have someone of Kim’s calibre join our national leadership team, and we look forward to introducing her to clients and our other key partners.”

Scriven also took the opportunity to thank Beveridge for his work in the role.

“I would like to thank Tim for his enormous contribution, hard work and loyalty to Zenith, and wish him and his family all the best for the future,” she added.

Xavier will be based in the Melbourne office, saying of her appointment: “I’m excited to join Zenith at a time of great change and opportunity in the media and marketing landscape. My role will be to provide strategic counsel to our clients’ business challenges, and to deliver actionable recommendations.”
