Zeno Group obtains Shokz retained account

Zeno Group has won the “retained communications account” for headphone provider Shokz.

The announcement:

Zeno Group has been awarded a retained communications account for Shokz, the industry-leading open-ear headphone pioneer after a highly competitive pitch. Zeno will focus on amplifying Shokz Australian brand presence through new product launches, integrated communications sponsorships and a robust product review program.

Since its inception in 2011, Shokz has revolutionised the audio industry with its innovative proprietary technologies and distinctive open-ear design, catering to the needs of endurance athletes, lifestyle enthusiasts, and communication professionals. Unlike traditional earbuds, Shokz’s headphones, powered by bone conduction or DirectPitch™ Technology, transmit sound without blocking external noise.

Coco Zhong, marketing manager ANZ, Shokz, said, “Shokz is thrilled to appoint Zeno Australia to further our reach and growth within the market. From the onset, we have been impressed with Zeno’s ambitious approach to our aggressive goals. The team’s professionalism, sincerity, and interest in Shokz stood out to us in our decision-making process.

“Through Zeno’s proven dedication to our brand and extensive presence in the Australian media landscape, we are poised for a successful expansion. We are eager to introduce more Australians to the immersive listening experience that Shokz offers and know Zeno will help us to achieve this.

Sarah Littlefair, managing director, Zeno Australia said, “This collaborative partnership marks an exciting opportunity to further bolster Shokz’s brand presence in the region and its portfolio of unique products that push the boundaries of what’s possible in open-ear technology. We are proud that Shokz has entrusted Zeno as its retained agency in Australia and eager to contribute real business impact.”

Zeno, who recently received highly commended honors at the Mumbrella CommsCon Awards for Best PR Employer 2024, boasts a quarter-century legacy and has a global workforce exceeding 800 professionals. “Our continued growth in market reflects the dedication of our talented team and our commitment to a values-driven, people-centric approach to business,” adds Littlefair.

The Shokz account win signals further growth in Zeno Australia’s consumer portfolio that includes brands such as Yorkshire Tea and Abano Healthcare, alongside long-standing technology clients Motorola and Lenovo.
