1.3m tune in to see Eamon Sullivan named Celebrity Masterchef

Australian TV viewers briefly fell back in love with Masterchef last night, with nearly 1.3m tuning in for Ten’s final of the show’s celebrity franchise, making it the most watched show of Wednesday evening.

However, the result, which saw swimmer Eamon Sullivan named as winner of Celebrity Masterchef, was still some way off the 3.7m who tuned in to watch Julie Goodwin win the first series of Masterchef back in July.

Meanwhile, another old favourite fared less well with Nine finishing third for the night in the Oztam ratings, after opting for a triple bill of Two And A Half Men.

And it was also a poor start to the evening for Nine’s Hotseat with Eddie McGuire which rated just 504,000.

Wendesday’s nightly share:

  • Seven: 28.0%
  • Ten: 24.4%
  • Nine: 23.6%
  • ABC1: 12.4%

  • GO!: 3.0%
