2 Kiwi agencies take home wins in final round of 2020/2021 Cannes Lions

The last day of Cannes Lions saw the announcement of the winners of the Film Lions, the Sustainable Development Goals Lions, and the Titanium Lions.

Only two Lions were won in the final round by New Zealand agencies, with no Australian agencies winning any Lions.

In the Film Lions, DDB New Zealand Auckland won a Bronze Lion for the “Lotto – Lo5t” campaign for Lotto New Zealand, in the category Innovation in Film – TV/Cinema Film.

The other Kiwi agency to win a Bronze Lion was Colenso BBDO Auckland, for the “Friend-vertising” campaign for Skinny, in the same category.

In total, for the Cannes Lions 2020/2021, Australian and New Zealand entries won 37 Lions, with 5 Gold, 9 Silver, and 23 Bronze.

The winners for the Design Lions, Outdoor Lions, Print & Publishing Lions, Health & Wellness Lions and Pharma Lions were announced on the first day.

On the second day, the winners for the Creative Data Lions, Creative Strategy Lions, Direct Lions, Media Lions, PR Lions, and Social & Influencer Lions were announced.

The third day saw the winners for the Digital Craft Lions, Industry Craft Lions, Film Craft Lions, Entertainment Lions for Sport, Entertainment Lions for Music and Entertainment Lions announced.

On the penultimate day, the fourth day, the winners of the Brand Experience & Activation Lions, the Creative Business Transformation Lions, Creative ECommerce Lions, Mobile Lions, Radio & Audio Lions, Innovation Lions, and Creative Effectiveness Lions were announced.
