2Day FM’s Ed Kavalee joins Stan Sport football lineup
Stan Sport has announced the final members of its UEFA Champions League and Europa League coverage, with 2Day FM breakfast host Ed Kavalee and ex-Matilda Alicia Ferguson rounding out the team.
They join the lineup led by former SBS chief football analyst and commentator Craig Foster and English football pundit Max Rushden, along with Mark Bosnich, Grace Gill and Mark Pougatch.

Rushden will continue to host match day coverage, supported by Bosnich and Foster, and sideline reporters UK-based Pougatch and Ferguson, while Gill will provide commentary during matches.
Stan Sport’s Champions League coverage will also feature FootballZone on match day, a goal rush-style single live stream that will cut between every goal, save and highlight as it happens live across concurrent group stage matches.
Two supplementary programs have also been announced, with Kavalee to join Rushden for the latest iteration of their show Two Up Top. Now a weekly entertainment football talk show, Two Up Top started off as a podcast in 2020.
Meanwhile, Foster will host Stan Sport FC every Monday, where he’ll be joined by a range of experts to discuss issues in football both locally and around the world.
Stan director of sport, Ben Kimber, said: “With Ed and Alicia completing an outstanding lineup, Stan Sport has built a commentary team that will do justice to the world’s best club football competition.
“Our first matches of the Champions League last week were analysed on Stan Sport by the most knowledgeable and passionate pundits in the game, now we are adding to that match coverage with Two Up Top, Stan Sport FC and FootballZone to really showcase the great game of football from every angle.”
Rushden and Kavalee will host a weekly entertainment program
Rushden said: “When you walk into a studio, you can tell very quickly whether there’s a good chemistry between the team, and I’m so happy that we’ve got that at Stan Sport.
“Our match coverage has already worked so well with our European experts – supported by a team behind the scenes who primarily love the game.
“It’s now up to Ed and I to tear up all the good work that’s gone before and wreck it from within. Ed and I are fully focused on that and can’t wait to have some fun on Two Up Top.”
Kavalee added: “Stan Sport have so much great football content and so many great presenters. They also have Max Rushden. I’m very happy to have been brought in as third-choice goalkeeper. In the full kit but with minimal responsibilities.”
Stan Sport’s continued expansion in 2021 has seen the recent additions of the Laver Cup tennis tournament, and English Premiership Rugby.
