Bluebet positions itself as the true blue Aussie bookie in new ads

Betting company Bluebet has released a new campaign that highlights Australian inventions via Sydney creative agency JimJam Ideas.

One of the 60-second spots ‘The Aussie Way’ is already on the air, with the second ‘Aussies Love to Multi’ set to air this week.

‘The Aussie Way’ spot can be seen below:

In the spot set in a pub, actor Ben Mingay goes through some Australian inventions such as the Hills Hoist, Wi-Fi and One Day cricket matches.

The second spot is set at a bowling club, which celebrates “multis” in Australia, from its “multiculturalness” to Australia’s three vaccination brands.

Bluebet’s CEO Bill Richmond said: “‘Australia gets the raw end of the deal when it comes to our global reputation for invention. So, we had a crack at dispelling that furphy and the evidence speaks for itself.

“We even take it further and prove Aussies are handy multitaskers as well with the ability to use a wine cask as a pillow and that we’re all proficient in AFL, NRL and racing speak.”

The campaign coincides with BlueBet’s premium Channel Seven metro news sponsorship throughout the weeks of the AFL finals and Spring Racing Carnival.

The campaign will be on both radio and TV, airing across regional and metro free-to-air, as well as on subscription television.
