2SER FM reports rise in audience

Sydney community radio station 2SER FM has reported an audience increase in its latest survey.

The announcement:

2SER FM has significantly increased its audience over the past year, according to the latest McNair Ingenuity survey results.

Weekly listening has doubled from 66,000 people last year to 132,000 this year and monthly listening has increased from 5% of the Sydney audience to 12%.*

The good results have arrived during the first week of 2SER’s 2013 Supporter Drive.

“This great news has given all our volunteers and staff a positive lift during Supporter Drive. It shows that our listeners have really appreciated our revamped 2013 program lineup. Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers and our hard working staff,” said Program Director Anthony Dockrill.

2SER, one of Sydney’s oldest community stations, revamped its lineup this year, adding a full time breakfast presenter, a morning news service, and many fresh new shows to its program mix.

· An estimated 132,000 people aged 15+, or 4% of all Sydney people aged 15+, listen 2SER (FM/DAB+) at some time in a week.

· An estimated 461,000 people aged 15+, or 12% of all Sydney people aged 15+, listen to 2SER (FM/DAB+) at some time in a month.

· Of the 132,000 people aged 15+ who constitute 2SER (FM/DAB+)’s weekly cumulative audience, 62,000 people aged 15+ listened to 2SER (FM/DAB+) on an average weekday, while a cumulative audience of 99,000 people 15+ listen to 2SER (FM/DAB+) at some time on Monday – Friday.
