3 Phase Marketing converts Prahran Market into virtual marketplace

3 Phase Marketing and Prahran Market have partnered to launch an e-commerce platform allowing customers to buy from dozens of independent traders.

The announcement:

In a Victorian first, Prahran Market has launched an eCommerce service which allows customers to purchase groceries from 25 independent traders (and more to come), with one single transaction, delivered to the customers’ front door.

Prahran Market General Manager, Simon Ward said the new site ‘Food Lovers’ Direct’ allows their traders to continue serving their customers “many of whom are self-isolating for medical reasons or maintaining social distance in accordance with government recommendations. Our community can continue to purchase their weekly groceries from their local market.”

Furthermore, with supermarkets currently only offering a priority service online and existing delivery companies unable to take on new customers, the Prahran Market team knew there was a need for this new online service.

The site was developed in partnership with 3 Phase Marketing and deployed in just under two weeks. “We chose to partner with 3 Phase Marketing because of their expertise and proven experience in the digital space,” Simon said.

3 Phase Marketing Head of Technology, Richard Jardine, is so pleased with the result. “The e-store is comparable to the giant sites, Coles and Woolworths Supermarkets. No other market in Victoria offers an e-commerce solution with complete fulfilment. We transformed a 156-year-old business into a cutting edge, 24-hour online e-store.”

The platform is built on Shopify Plus, the same technology used by JB-Hi-Fi.

To access the online marketplace, customers can go to https://shop.prahranmarket.com.au

3 Phase Marketing was listed in the Australian Financial Review Fast 100 2020 as the 3rd fastest growing Digital Agency in Australia. 3 Phase Marketing’s client list includes Mercedes-Benz, Jeep Australia, LSH Auto Australia and Waterman Business Centers.
