303 Mullen Lowe appoints a new ECD in Bart Pawlak

303 Mullen Lowe Sydney has a new executive creative director in Bart Pawlak.

Pawlak takes over from Scott Huebscher who spent just ten months at the agency after joining in July last year.

Pawlak was the executive creative director of VMLY&R Sydney up until early last year. Since then, he has been consulting through his own creative shop.

Bart Pawlak has joined 303 Mullen Lowe as ECD

Prior to the merger of VML and Y&R, Pawlak was the ECD of the latter for four years. He started out at the agency in 2005 as senior copywriter.

In his new role, Pawlak will partner with ECD of 303 Mullen Lowe Perth, Richard Berney, and work with creative directors Adam Whitehead and Sean Larkin.

Pawlak said of the new opportunity: “I am delighted to join a group of talented and fun people and an agency with a unique combination of creative, media and data skills. The agency’s long held belief in the power of these three disciplines, which it calls its brand trinity, provides a powerful platform to create game changing ideas. Also, with an array of amazing brands to work with it’s a genuinely exciting opportunity.”

Joanna Gray, managing director 303 Mullen Lowe, said: “We are delighted Bart has agreed to join us. He is a wonderful talent who is a perfect complement to our culture. He has been a pleasure to work with and has demonstrated his leadership and creative capabilities. He brings a breadth of experience and an ambition to continue to build the agency’s creative successes.

Pawlak has worked on a number of behaviour change campaigns for government clients, including the motorcycle safety ‘Ride to Live’ campaign, and the NSW Government’s ‘Tomorrow’s Sydney’ campaign.

He has been recognised at the D&AD, Cannes Lions, Clio, New York Festivals, Spikes, One Show, Award and Effies.
