Woolworths Carols in the Domain to be held on a Sunday

Woolworths Carols in the Domain will take place on Sunday December 18.

The announcement:

Woolworths Carols in the Domain – Australia’s largest festive event – is excited to announce that this year, it will take place on Sunday 18th December, 2016.

Previously, Woolworths Carols in the Domain has been held on a Saturday, but given the growing number of Australian families that attend the concert, as of this year, it will now be held on a Sunday, to allow even more families to join in the festivities.

This year’s concert theme – Christmas Traditions – promises to deliver yet another star studded line up of performances, along with the Christmas cheer that Australian families have come to know and love, while reflecting on all of the sacred traditions we share with our family and friends.

In its 34th year, the ever-popular concert will again be held in the iconic Domain in Sydney, and will be broadcast live on the Seven Network.

“There was overwhelming support for the event to switch to a Sunday which will be more family friendly” said Executive Producer, Michael McKay when announcing the date change.

“This year is all about celebrating our old traditions as well as embarking on a few new ones” he added.

Woolworths Carols in the Domain will again support its longstanding Official Charity, The Salvation Army who provide care for those in need through their Christmas Appeal.
