4 Pines Brewing Co appointed official beer of Australian Cricket

Cricket Australia has revealed that 4 Pines Brewing Co is the new official beer of the Australian Men’s Cricket Team.

This comes following news last week that Lion had decided not to extend its contract with Cricket Australia, bringing about the end of a four year partnership with brands including XXXX and Hahn.

Cricket Australia said that 4 Pines “probably isn’t who you’d expect” to be the next beer of The Vodafone Ashes and the summer of cricket, when appointing the 13-year-old craft brewers.

4 Pines co-founder Jaron Mitchell said: “At 4 Pines we are passionate about having fun and bringing people together over great beer. Partnering with Cricket Australia to make this happen on the biggest of stages is huge for us and we are going to swing harder than Adam Gilchrist did on a short delivery to make this a success!”

“It’s been a tough time for the industry, so we look forward to supporting our customers with initiatives to bring punters into their venues to enjoy games this summer.”

Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said that he was excited to see the partnership get under way, and that 4 Pines’ commitment to its sustainability re-greening program brings a new dimension to the partnership.

“We love their story and are so impressed by what they have achieved in such a short period, particularly their work in sustainability. We look forward to welcoming 4 Pines to the cricket family as we celebrate the upcoming summer together.”

As a part of this partnership, each four hit this summer will see 4 Pines plant four trees to help re-green Australia, working with Landcare Australia.

Landcare Australia CEO, Dr Shane Norrish said that he is excited about expanding the partnership with 4 Pines Brewing.

“We look forward to seeing numerous 4 Pines Fours in the summer of cricket ahead and planting thousands of trees in strategic locations to enhance local native habitat, increase biodiversity and improve wildlife connectivity in the landscape. The partnership is an outstanding example of how corporate Australia can make a meaningful difference in protecting our natural assets.”

Other Cricket Australia partnerships include Cadbury, as the official sponsor of the International Womens Team, Rexona, Vodafone, and Dettol..

It was also revealed last week that Triple M will cover the 2021-22 Ashes series between Australia and England, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) inking a new broadcast deal with Cricket Australia.
