40 hour live-on-air attempt on TVSN

Peter Mason, presenter on TVSN, will host the network for a live, 40 hour marathon to raise money for charity, Redkite.

Beginning at 5.30pm tomorrow, Friday 2 September Mason will be on air until 9.30am Sunday 4 September in a record attempt first for Australian TV. Should Mason complete the 40 hours, a $10,000 donation will be made to the foundation that helps young people and their families through cancer.

With hourly challenges, a live cross from Channel Seven’s Morning Show, an interview with 2day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, and hundreds of products being sold, Mason hopes to stay awake through it all.

Mason , who has presented on TVSN for five years, said, “It hasn’t always been easy, falling off a ladder live to air was pretty challenging! But 40 hours straight is going to be a struggle!”
