7-Eleven teams with Aussie company to expand radio network in the US
7-Eleven has teamed up with an Australian in-store retail media provider for the expansion of Gulp Radio, which will soon be heard in over 12,000 stores in the United States.
Qsic is an AI-powered in-store audio retail media platform, with technology designed to generate localised audio advertisements that play to target audiences during peak shopping times – backed by first-party data to measure the impact and determine revenue lift.
The Australian company helped launch Gulp Radio – 7-Eleven’s in-store radio station – in October 2022, which will now roll out to 5,000 stores across the United States by the end of 2024, and more than 12,000 stores and 13 million daily shoppers by the end of 2025.
“Audio is the easiest and most cost-effective way to influence consumer behavior within the convenience store environment,” said Mario Mijares, vice president of marketing at 7-Eleven.
“Qsic’s audio platform authentically connects with in-store customers to immediately drive measurable results for our brand partners. Qsic has already proven its value in our stores, we’re excited to extend our partnership with them throughout the U.S.”
Matt Elsley, co-founder and CEO at Qsic said: “Gulp Radio network has already driven significant results for advertisers by optimizing in-store assets to influence shoppers at the point of purchase. In-store retail media presents a huge opportunity for brands to drive more conversions, and 7-Eleven and Gulp Radio are at the forefront.”
