72 and Sunny makes 4 appointments, including several returning expats

72 and Sunny has announced four hires to its Australian team.

Included in the hires is Genevieve Hoey, who joins as a creative consultant from her position as executive creative director and managing partner at Alto New York.

72 and Sunny’s new hires

72 and Sunny’s Sydney president, Ross Berthinussen, said: “72 and Sunny’s vision has always been to drive growth by impacting culture. We’re stoked to add this world class talent to the team to help deliver this.”

The agency’s executive creative director Luke Martin commented: “It’s rad to have such superstars joining the 72 family, we have great energy, and are making lots of awesome work right now. I can’t wait to see what we all create together.”

Hoey has also worked at R/GA New York as group executive director and Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam as creative director. She has worked with brands such as  BMW Mini, Booking.com, Corona, Converse, H&M and Nike.

Joining 72 and Sunny in October is Michael Kleinmann who is returning to Australia following five years at Droga5, his most recent position being associate creative director.

Daniel Cook has been appointed strategy leader. Cook’s most recent role was at the ABC as editorial strategy planner.

Lastly, Job van Dijk has joined 72 and Sunny as product lead. Van Djik has previously held roles as creative director at Anomaly in Amsterdam and as a senior copywriter at The Monkeys in Sydney.

The hires follow 72 and Sunny’s win of My Deal’s creative account.
