Clemenger BBDO’s Lindsay Bennett departs, takes global role at Ideally

Kiwi creative research platform Ideally has recruited Clemenger BBDO’s Lindsay Bennett to lead its global communications.

Sydney-based Bennett will work alongside Ideally’s global head of marketing, Michaela Egbers, to shape the company’s brand strategy, boost its profile, and expand growth opportunities internationally.

“I’m excited to join Ideally at such a pivotal moment,” Bennett said. “This is the type of company that is defining what’s next for marketing, combining technology, creativity and insights to help brands grow smarter. I can’t wait to share that story on the global stage.”

Bennett joined Clemenger BBDO earlier this year as head of brand and communications, helping integrate the agency with CHEP Network and Traffik while supporting new business.

On her time with Clemenger, she said: I’m grateful for the opportunity to help guide an iconic creative brand through a transformative chapter alongside an incredible group of people. It’s been a privilege.”

Her move to Ideally marks a return to global work after spending over four years in New York leading marketing at DDB and then at Gale, where she oversaw marketing, communications and new business across North America. Earlier in her career she also worked as a journalist at Adnews in Sydney.

Founded in Auckland in 2023, Ideally supplies a research platform designed to help marketers test and refine brand ideas and propositions.

It has steadily grown its Australian footprint over the last year, hiring Sydney-based Simon Gawn as head of local operations last year, alongside former Howatson and Co business director George Robertson as strategic agency partner.

Bennett’s departure comes as Clemenger’s parent company, Omnicom Group Oceania, finalises its global acquisition of IPG Mediabrands.

Omnicom would not confirm whether her role will be replaced, saying it is “finalising the structure and approach.”
