‘84% of consumers make purchase decisions based on recommendations’: Impact.com launches new customer referral solution
Leading partnership management platform impact.com has launched a customisable customer referral marketing solution to empower brands to engage their customers effectively with tailored offers.

The program was launched off the back of impact.com research that reveals that 84% of consumers make purchase decisions based on referrals and recommendations from someone they know.
In today’s market, trust is key in decision-making. Nearly 58% of consumers surveyed trust personal recommendations most when buying, far more than any other source, including traditional ads, which are trusted by only 3%.
Further, over a quarter (26%) of shoppers feel uncomfortable recommending a product only to receive a reward. Instead, 61% of referrers report they prefer it when they and the person they’re referring receive a reward.
Impact.com APAC managing director Adam Furness said the launch comes when consumer trust in advertising is at an all-time low, but reliance on trusted, personal recommendations is higher than ever.
