AAP media monitoring secures key New Zealand government departments

AAP Newscentre, Australian Associated Press company has won the contract to be the media monitoring company for key New Zealand Government departments, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry for the Environment and Accident Compensation Corporation.

The announcement:

AAP Newscentre, an Australian Associated Press company, has secured a lead contract for the Ministry of Social Development and other key agencies for the provision of its media monitoring services in New Zealand.

Newscentre has also been able to forge new contracts with the Accident Compensation Corporation, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry for the Environment.

Newscentre Managing Director Kylie O’Reilly said “This win shows that Newscentre is gaining momentum and it complements the recent run of Federal Government wins we’ve had in Australia.

“We are delighted to have launched in New Zealand and to be now working with the Ministry of Social Development.

“New Zealand organisations have had limited choice when it comes to a media monitoring solution. This now changes with Newscentre’s presence in New Zealand.”

The announcement of the contract win also signalled the start of operations for the New Zealand Operations for Corporate, Not-for-Profit and Public Relations Organisations.

Ms O’Reilly said “Newscentre has worked with organisations of all sizes and with our expert transition management team we can help make the change.”

As part of the rollout of services, Newscentre has established a dedicated Client Services operation in both Auckland and Wellington.
