ABC to launch Paper Giants sequel

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has revealed that a sequel to the successful series Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo is set to hit Australian screens soon.

The ABC sequel will cover the 1990s Sydney-based rivalry of Dulcie Boling and Nene King, the women behind the popular magazines New Idea and Woman’s Day.

The rivalry between the two editors was sparked when King joined Woman’s Day, leaving her colleague Boling at New Idea. King transformed Woman’s Day into a market-dominating circulation selling more than one million copies a week.

Southern Star Productions will again take the reins with producer John Edwards and directed by Daina Reid, following on from Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo.
