ABC prepares WW1 drama doco
The ABC has created a four part dramatised documentary about Australia’s involvement in the First World War.
The War That Changed Us will be a dramatised look at Australia’s involvement in the war, told through the lives of five Australians. It is to be funded by Screen Australia.
Andrew Ogilvie, who is also working on projects for ABC and SBS , will produce the series, with Don Featherstone directing. The project was funded through the National Documentary Program.
Screen Australia’s Chief Executive Ruth Harley said: “The War That Changed Us has substantial Australian history heritage value, which is one of the core remits of our National Documentary Program. This documentary series is a remarkable Australian story which will be told on a grand scale.”
