ABC’s Hard Quiz tops entertainment while Nine wins Wednesday

ABC’s episode of Hard Quiz was the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, however it was Nine which celebrated the overall network share win.

Hard Quiz brought in a metro audience of 574,000, while an episode of ABC’s Gruen aired to a metro audience of 573,000. Gruen also won key demo, 16-39.

Nine’s episode of Mega Zoo was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 482,000, followed by Seven’s The Chase which aired to 456,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s Border Security aired to 424,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Hot Seat had an average metro audience of 369,000.

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 941,000 metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6:30 which pulled in 899,000, followed by Nine News with 820,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29% over Seven’s 24.7% share, while the ABC had 19.6% and Ten took a 16.3% share.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 10 Peach with a share of 4.1%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 24 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear with 1.508 million viewers including 29,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 2%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Wednesday’s episode of Nine’s Love Island finale episode which had an 117% uplift on overnight figures and a total of 406,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 163,000.
