ACP revamps mag sales teams and makes 40 redundant
Magazine publisher ACP has held a radical restructure of its women’s magazines division, with sales staff now selling across the group rather than against individual titles, it is being reported this afternoon.
According to B&T Today, the company has made more than 40 redundancies, with 35 staff given the news on Friday and another six being told today.
ACP owner PBL’s corporate affairs department wasn’t answering the phone this afternoon.
There have also been editorial redundancies in the womens group, a friend of mine was made redundant. When are they going to close some titles down – how much longer can they chip away at different titles and roles, they might as well close some titles and be done with it. What about Grazia? Are they selling more copies now? Has anyone lost their job on that title? C’mon mumbrella, do some digging and some crystal ball gazing and tell us what you think is going down at ACP and what will be left there by the end of the year. Whoever is CEO there now must have some strategy for how to survive the downturn?

Am not sure why Grazia getting such a bad rap. Look at their sales targets and circulation!! It’s the only title that appears to be doing well.
Harpers on the other hand…

Ah Grazia fan, if you did your research you’d know Grazia is falling in circ, and BAZAAR is going up. Grazia is nothing more than a glossy-covered Famous. Kate Moss pregnant? I think not…
