Adelaide radio ratings: Mix 102.3 expands lead with strong performance in breakfast and drive

Mix 102.3 has expanded its lead in the Adelaide radio market, boosting its overall share by 1.3 percentage points to land on 13.0%.

It is the first survey for the station’s new breakfast team of Erin Phillips and Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom, who managed to gain 0.3 points from the last survey of 2020 to reach a 10.9% share.

Phillips replaced Jodie Oddy on the program, who announced her departure in November after 13 years with Mix.

Phillips and Soderstrom trailed ABC Adelaide, which achieved a sizeable share of 15.2% despite a 0.7 point drop, and FiveAA on 14.8%. Hosted by David Penberthy and Will Goodings, FiveAA – Nova’s only AM station – gained 2.6 points in breakfast.

Rebecca Morse, Andrew Costello and Anthony Lehmann, on a newly rebranded SAFM, also achieved a good result for the station with an increase of 1.6 ratings points to a 9.6% share in breakfast.

Meanwhile, Nova’s Ben and Liam dropped 1.8 points to land on a 7.9% share.

Over in drive, Mix’s Will and Woody delivered a strong result for the network with a 2.2 point gain on its share. The duo only narrowly followed Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel which had a 13.3% share to Mix’s 13.2%.

In overall share, ARN’s Cruise1323 levelled with ABC Adelaide on 10.8% shares, behind Mix 102.3.

FiveAA landed on a 10% share and Nova followed on 9.8%.
