Adelaide radio ratings: Mix 102.3 retains lead
Adelaide’s top rating AM and FM stations took a hit in GfK’s seventh radio ratings for the year with Mix102.3, Triple M and FIVEaa all falling in the overall audience shares.
Mix 102.3 FM retained its lead in the market despite a 0.6 point fall to a 13.0% audience share. AM rival FIVEaa tumbled 1.9 points to 10.9% while Triple M dropped 1.1 points to 8.9%.
Cruise1323 and Nova 91.9 were the big winners for the survey with Cruise picking up one percentage point to 10.2% while Nova picked up 0.8 to 9.6%.
ARN-owned Cruise’s biggest gain was in the 9am to midday morning slot, which straddles John Dean’s breakfast show and Dom Rinaldo’s morning segment. In the slot, Cruise recorded a 2.4 point jump to take 12.6% of the audience, slightly behind Mix 102.3’s 13.2% which saw a 0.3 point gain.
In the critical breakfast slot, FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings retained their lead despite a one point fall to 14.6%. ABC Adelaide breakfast continued its recovery picking up 0.6 points to finish second with a 13.4% share. Mix 102.3’s Jodie and Soda remained the top-rating FM breakfast show despite a 0.8 point fall with 12.4% of the audience.
Hit107’s breakfast show continued to decline following the axing of the Amos, Cat and Angus breakfast show in September. This survey saw a 0.5 drop to 5.7%.
FIVEaa’s biggest fall for the survey was in the drive slot which saw the station slump 3.4 points to 9.6%, ceding the lead to Mix102.3’s Will and Woody who, despite a 0.3 point fall, took 13.2% of the slot.
