Adelaide radio ratings: MIX102.3 maintains Adelaide FM lead despite strong gains from rivals

Australian Radio Network’s Adelaide’s MIX102.3 retained its lead in the latest GfK ratings for the city despite 5MMM, Nova91.9 and CRUISE1323 all picking up substantial audience share gains.

MIX102.3 picked up a 0.3 point gain to 13.1% on overall audiences over 10 years old, while FM rivals 5MMM and Nova91.9 rose 1.2 and 1.5 points to 12.1% and 11.2% respectively.

5MMM Breakfast presenters Roo and Ditts

Breakfast delivered the strongest gain for 5MMM as the Roo and Ditts show picked up 2.1 points to win with 13.5% of the audience, enough to see them edge out previous survey winners, MIX102.3 breakfast team of Jodie Oddy and Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom, who eased 0.2 points to 11.3%.

The AM stations won the breakfast segments with ABC Adelaide grabbing the largest share of 14.2%, down 0.5, and FIVEaa with 13.6%, a gain of 0.6. Both stations’ overall audiences fell with the ABC down 0.1 to 10.4% and FIVEaa easing 0.3 to 11.4%.

In the drive slot, Nova’s Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold dominated with 16.1% audience share, a gain of 3.4 points over the last survey. MIX102.3’s Hughesy and Kate also picked up 1.2 points to finish at 13.8% at the expense of 5JJJ and HIT107 who fell 2.4 and 2.1 points respectively in the slot.
