Adelaide’s industry veteran joins Black Sheep flock
Former Clemenger BBDO Adelaide strategy director John McLaren has joined Adelaide advertising agency Black Sheep as managing director.
McLaren was with Clemenger BBDO Adelaide for 13 years. He has also worked for Young and Rubicam, Bottomline, George Patterson and FCB Hocking.
The firm counts the Adelaide Development Company, Scotch College and the Bowden development among its clients, and recently picked up accounts for Anglicare, Ergo Apartments, Repromed and the Country Fire Service in South Australia.
Black Sheep owner and creative director Andrew Millar said: “There are not too many people in Adelaide, or the rest of the country for that matter, who can boast the same level of industry experience as John, so we’re really pleased to welcome him to the Black Sheep flock.”
McLaren was reappointed to his position as chairman of the Communications Council in South Australia in June, and also sits on the Advertising Standards Board and the board of the Australian Medical Association.
He said: “Black Sheep has a fantastic team of keen, creative communicators so it’s a great opportunity for me to share my experience and help guide the agency to more success in the future,” he said.
